Angel Quilts

Every Tuesday

Details

The Angel Quilt ministry at Williams Memorial began in 2000. Since that time Williams Memorial along with First Baptist, First Presbyterian and Trinity Baptist have made and distributed over 3000 quilts to cancer patients undergoing treatment in the area. Many prayers go with these quilts as the quilters are asked to pray over whatever part of the quilt they are working on even if it is just ironing.  When the cancer patient receives their quilt, their name is placed on a prayer list. About six to eight weeks later, a card of encouragement is sent to the recipient. More quilters are always needed to join this effort. No quilting or sewing experience is necessary. Anyone interested is invited to join. Not only will you be put to work, but also will make lasting friends with others who are trying to make a difference in the life of a cancer patient and their family. The Angel Quilt ministry at Williams meets Tuesdays, 1-4 pm in Room 218.
